Show your support of the Rebel Alliance by making Stormtrooper cookies for Star Wars day on May 4th. These sugar cookies are vanilla and almond flavoured. They didn’t hold their shape particularly well, so half ended up as space monsters.
Cutout Sugar Cookies

Serves: 18 cookies
Ingredients
- 170g butter
- 150g caster sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp almond extract
- 280g plain flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- Dash salt
Directions
- Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add the egg and extracts.
- Mix the dry ingredients in a small bowl, then add to the mixture and mix until just combined.
- Wrap in plastic and chill overnight.
After chilling
- Preheat the oven to 175C/350F.
- Roll out the dough to ~4mm thick and cut shapes with a cookie cutter.
- Place on a baking tray and bake for 10-11 mins until lightly golden.
Bake for 10 mins @ 175C but expect them to spread
